There was a buzz of exciting in Bishop Murphy Memorial School last Thursday evening when prospective boys and their parents came to the school’s open night.
The evening began at 6pm with an address from principal James O’Donoghue. He gave those attending a brief description of the wonderful facilities and initiatives which are in place in Bishop Murphy’s to give the pupils the very best opportunities and education. “Each child will be cherished and valued” said Principal O’Donoghue.
Mr O’Donoghue gave credit to all the staff at the school and explained that it is the teachers and staff at Bishop Murphy that make it such a positive learning environment. A number of current students at Bishop Murphy also address thecrowd to give a flour of their favourite thing about the school. A short video was thenshown to all in attendence to give a little taster of the fun and interesting things that go on at Bishop Murphy Memorial School.
The parents and prospective pupils were then invited to walk at their leisure around the school and speak to members of staff and current pupils to find out more information. Current students were on hand in every classroom displaying some science experiments and showing off some of the things they have learnt so far as students of the school.
“It was a great success and there was a large turnout “said Mr O’Donoghue.
Bishop Murphy Memorial School is enrolling now for September 2018.
