Second class has been very busy these last few weeks taking part in station teaching, focusing on English. During station teaching, which goes on for six weeks, the class is divided into five groups, or stations. Ms Hogan and Sinéad, along with Mr O Donoghue, Ms Kevany and Ms Coughlan visit each station to teach the skills of spelling, writing, grammar, reading and listening. The classroom has a busy hum while everyone enjoys being actively engaged in each activity. After eight minutes the bell sounds and the teachers are on the move to work with the next group. Station teaching is teamwork and fun. All the children learn a lot and the time flies!
