As part of their history studies 3rd/4th class recently did a study of the town bridge.  The boys found out some interesting facts about the bridge online, e.g Fermoy bridge once had thirteen arches and before this it was wooden!  This study culminated with a visit to the bridge, when the boys took some crayon rubbings of the plaque which is located at the midway point of the bridge.  The boys also studied The River Blackwater as part of their geography studies and mapped its journey from source to sea.photo (5)
