The Bishop Murphy Boys recently enjoyed their school sponsored walk. We walked from the school, through Glenabo Forest and back to the school again. A great day was had by all!
Since January, our class have been enjoying 'Science Friday'. This means that every Friday we get to bring in cool experiments and show them to the class. Miguel blew amazing bubbles through a sock! 2nd and 3rd class having been learning about eating healthily. We loved trying all the scrumptious foods we got from Food Dudes!
In November 2nd and 3rd class really enjoyed having pottery lessons. We made cool creatures from clay and when they were ready we painted and glazed them. Fin took our plates home to put them in the kiln. Here are some of our creations!
Well done to Theo Lam in 4th class who won the Supermac’s Halloween colouring competition. In November, his class was invited to the local Papa John’s restaurant where they were shown how to bake their own pizza. Their pizzas were delicious and went down a treat! Pupils in 6th class have recently been reflecting on their final year in Bishop Murphy Memorial School. 2nd and 3rd class had a very busy February in the kitchen! We began with food-on- a -stick. We cut up fresh pineapple and cheese with grapes and stuck them on a skewer for a delicious, healthy treat. Saturday August 30th was a momentous day for Fermoy Juvenile GAA. The Under 10 team were victorious in the prestigious Mullinahone Ground Hurling Tournament.
